Click here NBL 2025 Annual League Wide Letter             Hello Fellow Bocce Members and a Happy New Year To All. We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe!!! First, we would like to thank everyone for their continued support and a very successful 2025 season and congratulations to our summer, fall and senior league champions. Now, it’s time to start getting excited for our 2026 season. Our summer evening & senior league registration will be held on Saturday February 28 & Sunday March 1, 2026 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm each day at the bocce cabin. Captains should have received their registration info. NOTE: It is the team captain’s responsibility to have their team registered which means 5 members paid in full ($50.00 per member, $250.00 total) by 2:00pm Sunday 3/1/2026. After which time, the registration fee will increase to $55.00 per member / $275.00 per team. The evening league will start Sunday 4/5/2026 and the senior league will start Tuesday 4/7/2026. The summer evening ‘Sweet 16 Playoffs’ will be held on Saturday 7/11/2026 and both evening & senior league championships and league wide picnic will be held on Saturday 7/18/2026. In an effort to keep everyone updated as much as possible with the many great new things that you may or may not have noticed, below is a list of most of those items from 2025. Completely restored and upgraded our courts after 30 years with new surface, sub-surface, boards, sprinkler system, drainage system. Upgraded the surrounding spectator area with concrete, pavers, gardens etc… This total project cost over $72,000.00. We have paid it down to $22,500.00 with the help of many generous donations from members and non-members and with your help hope to get it paid off by 2027. If anyone would like to donate, please contact Dave Fusco or Jerry Milice. Every little bit helps!!! We have renewed our lease with the Borough of Norristown until 2058 Added a new split rail fence along Harding Blvd. with the help of the Elmwood Park Zoo to help with keeping the many school field trip children from overrunning our hillside. Added new railings on the 2 steps on the creek side of the courts along with several new teak benches. Our Annual Fundraising Tournament raised $9,406.00 for the American Lung Assoc. We would like to welcome Kathy Dunnum to our B. O. D. Kathy has been an active member for many, many years, plays on Sunday evenings and has always been a consistent and constant help with our many special events throughout the years. Welcome Kathy!!!!! *** Our Focus For 2026 *** We will now have a ‘One Time Waiver’ for all members to sign before they play in a league game. Once this waiver is signed, you will not have to sign a waiver again. Our Annual Patty Simon’s Making a Difference Fundraiser on the 1 st weekend in October will be for the N. B. L. to help pay off our court restoration project. We are in the process of restoring the Gazebo at the top of the hill for all to enjoy. Our fall league evening & senior league registration will be held on Saturday and Sunday June 6th & 7th , 2026. Captain’s will receive info the 1 st week in May. Our new league championship format for all leagues is as follows: The highest seeded team will pick the court to play on for games 1, 3 & 5 and the lower seeded team will pick the court for games 2 & 4. We will continue to do the very best we possibly can in what is and always will be in the best interest of the league and all of our members.
